Hotel Review - The Legend Resort, Cherating

After a tiring first day filled with amazing activities (visiting Turtle Sanctuary, releasing baby turtles back to the open water and going on a fireflies watch), it was high time for a good night rest. Thanks to our gracious host of the Legend Resort Cherating, we all have amazingly restful slumbers throughout our 3 days 2 nights trip in this quaint beach town.

Our Grand Deluxe room

We stayed in the Grand Deluxe room in the newly renovated Cherating Wing. The room is spacious and beautifully decorated with balcony that has access to ocean view. Meanwhile, the bathroom is clean with all the modern necessities made available. The channel selection on the television is rather limited, but, I guess no one comes to the beach town only to hide yourself in the room watching TV.

As I mentioned early in the previous entries, all our meals were prepared by the hotel. We have our breakfasts, lunches and dinners in the Coconut Grove Coffee House in buffet style with both local favourites and western dishes for our selections. Needless to say, it was all very delicious, well prepared by hotel chefs. Other than buffets, you can also have steamboat as well as theme party dinner if you want some varieties to it. I had tried both of it and I simply fancy to do the theme dinner all over again.

If you want to stay in the hotel and do some simple activities like I did on the second day, fret not for there are many things you can do here. First and foremost is the beach itself. You can swim in the open water or do a leisure stroll by the sandy beach. For those who are into extreme games, there are water sports as well as ATV rides that you can have the hotel organized for you. Do be careful for jelly fish as during our visit, it was jelly fish season, so it was not advisable to get into the water. However, you can still get wet as there are 2 large swimming pools and one child  pool at your disposal.

Be warned of the jelly fish

Besides that, the hotel also has a sport and recreational centre where you can find facilities such as gymnasium, tennis court, futsal, sauna, jacuzzi, archery, and so on. I myself visited the gymnasium and did some quick workout before turning my attention to outdoor archery. I managed to land quite a few arrows on the target board after many trials and errors. If outdoor activities sound too strenuous, there are snooker table and arcade games to play with.

Just look at the lists of activities to be done in Cherating

You can also just lay back and read a book or two by the pool or in the lounge itself and by nightfall, there is live band performance near the lounge for you to sit back and enjoy the music. If vibrant beats are what you are looking for, there is the X'POSE pub for you to dance the night away. You can just find almost anything in the resort itself.

Suffice to say that I did have a blast staying in the Legend Resort Cherating and look forwards of seeing the friendly staffs again.
